Getting Around
Cairo is the only city in Egypt with an underground subway system ("Metro").
In addition to buses and trams as widely used forms of public transport, the Helwan Metro line starts from Helwan and stops at 14 different metro stations including Misr al-Quadima (Old Cairo) and Maadi. The underground links Ramses to El-Merg.
