MODERN STANDARD CLASSICAL ARABIC COURSES

INTENSIVE ARABIC COURSES AT ANY CONVENIENT LOCATION AT ANYTIME

INTRODUCTION:
Classical Arabic is the official form, which is structured on precise grammar, word derivation, and exact meanings.

Classical Arabic can be divided into three categories:

  • The Ultimate Classical Arabic: The text of the Qur'an.
  • Old / Islamic Writing: Classical Arabic of Islamic Supplementary Material, Islamic Philosophy, Theology, Jurisprudence, etc.
Most students of Islamic Culture and Civilization must be familiar with this form.
  • Modern Arabic: Standardized form of Classical Arabic used in all countries of the Arab world. It is used in printed material, media, and in all official delivery (speeches, radio, television). Our Arabic course is focused on this form of Arabic, which is not extremely different from the other two.

OUR TARGET:

This Arabic course is designed for non-native students who are eager to learn Arabic outside of a traditional classroom, restricted location, and pre-set schedule.

The narration in our Arabic lessons is mostly in Arabic because of our strong belief that any foreign language must be taught in that particular language. Many Arabic language instruction books in the English-speaking world are texts of English for Arabic language instruction. In our Arabic lessons, we tried to detour from this method.

As for the terminology used, we adopted both English and Arabic Terms used in the Arab world and in the West. We did not limit our Arabic lessons to what is considered as the STANDARD practice in the field.

Online instruction has many approaches. Some experts have developed online/distance learning techniques, strategies of learning and teaching foreign language, and computer-based instruction. This technology is in a progressive process and there is no strong indication of measuring its success.

Our goal here is very simple: to present serious instruction for serious students.

SPECIAL FEATURES:

  • Study at any place where a computer online is available.
  • Choose your own time for studying, evenings, weekend etc.
  • Repeat lessons, and go back to previous ones whenever needed.
  • Voice-over online with each lesson.
  • Vocabulary with each session.
  • Arabic-English-Arabic dictionary online.
  • Glossary of Arabic grammar terms.
  • Exercises, practices and reviews with each session.
  • Telephone office-hour per week (15 minutes each) pre-arranged with the instructor.
  • The course is hosted on a very-well maintained and secured server.
  • Cost affective.
  • Special discounts for bundle courses.

STANDARD CLASSICAL ARABIC

Equivalent to 430 / 440 / 450

A 32-WEEK COHESIVE ARABIC COURSE

This Arabic course covers all aspects of Arabic grammar, writing, reading, and comprehension. It consists of 32 intensive Arabic lessons, chronologically organized for achieving steady progress and convenience to learn Arabic. Each lesson comes with practices & exercises, which cover that particular lesson and the previous ones.

The basic Arabic course (The Standard Classical Arabic Course) is divided into three sections: the 32 Arabic Lessons (the core), which focus on grammar, word derivation, and structure of the sentences and clauses. Some Arabic instructors believe that grammar must be presented later because it reinforces what has been learned functionally. Our approach here is different; we believe that grammar is a blueprint and a foundation for the Arabic language and must be taught first.

The second section is the 32 Exercises: The 32 lessons are reinforced by 32 sessions of exercises. Here students can obtain the grammatical and structural functionality of the Arabic language.

The first few lessons deal with Arabic Alphabet and writing Arabic. Voice and mouse movement technology, which show the student how to write, how to connect the letters and how to pronounce them correctly, are incorporated here.

The lessons will advance gradually. We were very careful in arranging the content of the course by establishing each lesson to be built on the previous one.

All lessons have also voice tracks associated with the printed material. This will give the student the online learning capability. Colored fonts are included to show the point-of-interest of each particular lesson. Every word will have the case ending and the short vowels/Auxiliary Signs to enable the student to read the words correctly.

As soon as the 32 Arabic lessons with the Lesson Support and exercises are completed successfully, students find 36 Arabic Texts (The Advanced Standard Classical Arabic Reader) covering many subjects of interest such as, literature, classical writing, poetry, media reports, and news.

STANDARD CLASSICAL LEXICAL COURSE

Believing that the best method for retaining grammatical rules, understanding language structure and comprehending word derivations is by practical application and observation in handling texts.

Texts are also supplemented with sound activation where student can hear the Arabic texts, as much as they need it.? Colors were also implemented to show the students the structure of the words, the verbs and case endings.
